Residential Outside Sales Representative

SIGN ON BONUS of $2000 for eligible external candidates & $1000 for eligible internal candidates. Paid in 2 increments: The first installment following 90 days of continuous employment. The second installment following 180 days of employment. This position is a residential sales position and does require door to door sales. You must live in the Metairie, LA area. The Residential Outside Sales Representative role is an opportunity to channel your formidable energy and entrepreneurial swagger into extraordinary sales experiences, helping customers from the starting gate to the finish line with our cutting‑edge products and services. In this consultative sales role, you will provide solutions by selling Cox data, video, & mobile services to residential customers while managing your assigned territory. What You’ll Do Generate new leads, sales, and upgrades through prospecting, referrals, partner relationships, door‑to‑door canvassing, and networking in an assigned territory. Create, deliver, and own face‑to‑face sales presentations, from concept to closure. Maintain the highest ethical standards, follow company policy, and act professionally to represent Cox, taking ownership of the customer experience. Work a shift that includes evening and weekend hours to maximize customer contact opportunities. Assist in training new hires, collaborate with other departments, and partner with leadership to uncover new approaches to growth. Grow relationships with homeowner associations, multi‑dwelling unit managers, leasing agents, and others to generate sales. What’s In It For You Potential total annual compensation can range from $65,496 to $94,387, depending on location, experience, and performance. The base salary starts at $33,000 with a target commission of $2,708 per month. A two‑month ramp‑up period allows full commission earnings. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or up to 2 years of relevant work experience. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Ability to obtain certifications and licenses required by state and municipal laws to sell Home Security. Proficient use of Smart Phone, iPad, and computer. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Capacity to walk 1+ miles a day and navigate stairs within your territory. Ability to carry an iPad with case and a light bag of marketing materials for 5+ hours a day. Preferred Knowledge of local market with established contacts. 1+ year of outside/field sales, door‑to‑door, or related experience with quota requirements. Experience in residential direct sales, home security, or telecommunications industry. Compensation includes a base salary of $27,500 to $41,300 per year, with an annual incentive/commission target of $32,496.
