Speech Language Pathologist

EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS Master’s Degree in Speech and Language required. Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist license required. Clinical Fellowship is encouraged to apply. Training and/or expertise working with students with disabilities in a school setting preferred. Strong, demonstrated interpersonal skills, both written and oral RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as a resource to school staff in the development and implementation of a comprehensive speech and language program Assist and guide teachers in observing, documenting, and referring students with suspected speech and language impairments Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide diagnosis of speech, language, and voice impairments Determine student eligibility for services and develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including measurable goals and objectives Provide direct and consult speech-language therapy services based on individual student needs Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to support student progress within the classroom setting Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team decision-making Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations Assist with referrals to outside agencies and specialists when appropriate Provide information, support, and guidance to parents and families regarding student progress and communication needs #J-18808-Ljbffr
