ALTERATIONS ASSOCIATE

Oxmoor Center, 7900 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, Kentucky, United States of America Job Description As an Alterations Associate , your unique skills contribute to our reputation as America’s Leading Department Store. In addition to general alterations, you will alter diverse styles of women’s garments varying from formal dresses with beading to tailored clothing. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Own the customer experience – greet people sincerely, be friendly and thank every customer Measure, fit, mark, and pin garments according to customer specifications Disassemble, sew and/or reassemble garments according to measurements taken during fitting – use iron and steamer to prepare garments for customers Repair damaged or defective merchandise Garment work may range from basic to moderately difficult sewing/alteration procedures Maintain a clean department and work area Candidates must be professionally competent in all basic and most advanced alterations.
