School of Christian Ministries Adjunct (Remote/Online) Position Title: School of Christian Ministries Adjunct (Remote/Online) Position Summary: California Baptist University’s School of Christian Ministries invites applicants for a part-time, adjunct position (remote/online) to teach courses online, anchoring instruction in Christian faith and learning. Qualifications: A terminal degree in the field is preferred; a master’s degree with terminal degree pursuit or significant field experience is acceptable. Prior online teaching experience is strongly preferred. Candidates should embrace the mission of CBU, affirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, and be a member of a Southern Baptist Church. Teaching Responsibilities: Strong candidates will embrace and embody “active teaching” methods, including, but not limited to, the following CBU online education requirements for instructors: Creating weekly video or audio lectures embedded in each weekly module (CBU supports and equips faculty with access to Kaltura video content manager). Creating at least one weekly agenda video and/or descriptive written announcements to engage students with each week’s agenda and assignments. Providing constructive, personalized written comments/feedback on all graded assignments to identify strengths and areas for student improvement. Adhering to the university Regular Effective Contact policy: Respond to student inquiries within 24 hours. Grade minor assignments within 3 days of the due date, and major assignments within 7 days. This position is for online/remote adjunct teaching opportunities and does not require a local (Southern California) presence.
