Phlebotomist

Job Overview Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Jefferson, IN. Work Schedule Mon - Thur 8:00am - 5:00pm, Fri 7:30am - 4:30pm with rotating Saturdays. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments as necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or at least 3 months of experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications One year or more of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or training program must come from an accredited agency if used in lieu of work experience. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test. Job Summary Phlebotomist will work in either a Patient Service Center or client office, providing exceptional customer service, performing skilled specimen collections, and serving as the face of the company. Opportunities for continuous growth within the organization are available. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics. Employees scheduled less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan.
