Job Summary:

The Quality Technician is responsible for performing inspections, tests, and documentation to ensure that beverage products meet all company, customer, and regulatory quality standards. This role monitors in-process production, conducts routine quality checks, and enforces GMP and food safety protocols. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and experienced in quality control within food or beverage manufacturing. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform line inspections including fill weights, torque, packaging integrity, and label placement 
• Conduct checks for pH, Brix, temperature, and visual defects 
• Monitor cleaning and sanitation effectiveness as part of environmental quality checks 
• Follow company SOPs and testing protocols with precision 
• Maintain accurate records of all inspections and tests per company SOPs 
• Report non-conformances, deviations, or product defects to QA Lead or Manager 
• Support documentation for holds, rework, or corrective actions 
• Monitor production and packaging areas maintain quality and cleanliness standards 
• Participate in internal audits, inspections, and safety drills when required 
• Handle QA samples properly and dispose of waste in compliance with plant protocols 
• Communicate quality concerns clearly and professionally to operators and supervisors 
• Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety, food safety, and quality standards, including GMPs, PPE requirements, and hazard reporting 
• Perform all other duties or tasks as assigned by management to support departmental or company objectives. 

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Inspection Completion Rate: Timely, accurate execution of scheduled checks 
• Documentation Accuracy: Error-free logs, reports, and test results 

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required 
• 1–2 years of quality assurance or production experience in food/beverage industry preferred 

Skills & Competencies:

• Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and basic lab procedures 
• Ability to read and follow SOPs, production orders, and safety instructions 
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy 
• Ability to communicate effectively with operators and supervisors 
• Basic computer and data entry skills (Excel, QA systems)
