Inventory Specialist - Miramar - Second Shift - $22/hr

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an Inventory Specialist, where you'll play a key role in ensuring efficient inventory management and order fulfillment. You will use a computer station to identify items that need to be retrieved, package them appropriately, and prepare them for shipment.

Responsibilities

• Select and retrieve inventory items as guided by the computer inventory system.
• Package inventory items, including small and delicate parts, with precision and care, using ice packs and dry ice as necessary.
• Prepare all items for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in packaging.
• Use ERP/MRP systems for inventory control and fulfillment.
• Perform visual inspection procedures to verify the accuracy of selected items.
• Handle shipping and receiving tasks with diligence.

Essential Skills

• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Proficiency in inventory control and fulfillment processes.
• Manual dexterity and attention to detail for handling small parts.
• Experience in packaging, especially with the use of dry ice.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior inventory experience in the biotech industry.
• Ability to perform all tasks using computer systems.

Work Environment

The work schedule is from 12 PM to 8:00PM, Monday to Friday, with minimal overtime required. FedEx pickups are scheduled by 5:15 PM. The work environment is supportive, with opportunities for voluntary overtime as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
