Job Description BEST AFF Quality Inspector Louisville, KY | Direct Hire | $25.00/hour Shift: 1st Shift | Full-Time About the Role BESTAFF is hiring a Quality Inspector for a top manufacturing partner in Louisville, KY. This direct hire opportunity puts your inspection and welding-quality expertise to work on the shop floor, helping keep products safe, compliant, and built right the first time. What You'll Do Perform inspections across all departments and stages of production using inspection cards, orders, and drawings — recording data, photos, and videos as you go Report on non-conforming products, including rejects, rework, and customer returns Identify opportunities for quality control improvement and help implement new methods and procedures Communicate quality and compliance concerns with urgency and accuracy Distribute Quality Alerts and visual aids, collect acknowledgement signatures, and post them in the affected work area Inspect, measure, and evaluate welds to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, drawings, and inspection procedures at every welding stage Monitor weld parameters to keep them within specification Perform weld non-destructive testing and support destructive testing as required Maintain procedures, equipment, and materials used for welding inspection Inspect and report on the condition of welding fixtures, templates, and measuring equipment Evaluate and recommend improvements to welding procedures Maintain and audit Quality Procedures and Work Instructions Ensure ongoing compliance with company standards and specifications What You Bring Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and solid technical ability Good understanding of test equipment and quality assurance processes Excellent blueprint reading skills Familiarity and capability with the Microsoft Office Suite Excellent organization and communication skills, both written and oral Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs occasionally Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong ability to analyze and interpret information 5+ years in a quality or inspection role within a manufacturing environment preferred Minimum Grade 12 (high school) education Why BESTAFF At BESTAFF, we match great people with great opportunities.
