Maintain mobile equipment, cranes, bearings, power transmission, hydraulics/pneumatics, fluid pumping systems and welding principles/rigging. Service machinery and mechanical equipment by completing repairs on engines, hydraulics systems, mobile and stationary equipment. Repair engine failures, mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, body repair and replacing parts and components. Maintain specified records of work performed, details of repairs, and material usage. Work in various types of weather conditions which include extreme heat and cold. Perform any other tasks as assigned by supervisor. What You’ll Need Experience with hydraulics/pneumatics, wiring, and working on heavy equipment. Proficient in reading and understanding technical documents, diagrams and service manuals. Experience with a wide variety of tools related to mechanics/hydraulics. Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, engines, mobile equipment, and vehicles (number of years up to location preference). Proficient skills utilizing hand tools, power tools and precision tools for all facets of the repair and maintenance process. Minimum of 2 years of heavy equipment maintenance mechanic experience. Specific fundamental knowledge of bearings, power transmission equipment, electrical, hydraulics/pneumatics, lubrication, fluid pumping systems, and heat transfer. Ability to stand for significant lengths of time in an industrial environment with exposure to all elements of weather. Your Education High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required.
