Reporting to the Head of PR & Communications, this individual will serve as the primary communications partner for the U.S. business, driving media relations, thought leadership, executive visibility, and brand awareness.This is a highly visible role requiring both strategic thinking and hands-on execution. The ideal candidate brings strong media relationships, exceptional storytelling skills, and a proven ability to translate business priorities into impactful and measurable communications programs.If you thrive on making things happen, enjoy working across different spectra of communication, and want to make a real impact by empowering people with data to make fact-based decisions, this is your opportunity.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and execute Statista's U.S. communications strategy in alignment with global communications and business objectives.Serve and act as the primary PR and communications contact for the U.S. market.Build and maintain relationships with key journalists, editors, and industry influencers.Plan and execute always-on PR activities to secure regular earned media coverage across Tier 1 and Tier 2 business, technology, trade, national, and podcast media; exposure to broadcast media is a plus.Develop and execute integrated communications campaigns with high impact tactics, including media outreach, thought leadership, executive positioning, and corporate announcements.Partner with internal stakeholders to create compelling narratives that support Statista's products, services, and brand positioning.Position and prepare executives for media interviews, speaking engagements, and external appearances to ensure impactful and consistent representation in the U.S. market.Manage strategic communications initiatives with Statista’s key technology and AI partners (e.g., Perplexity or Microsoft Copilot), by developing and executing joint campaigns and events, content initiatives, and co-marketing activitiesEffectively lead crisis communications efforts for the U.S. market when needed.Track communications performance, analyze results, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.Qualifications6+ years of experience in PR, corporate communications, brand communications, journalism, or related fields, gained at a PR agency or in-house, ideally within the tech, DaaS, or SaaS sectors.Strong understanding of the U.S. media landscape with demonstrated success securing earned media coverage.Strong, well-established relationships with journalists and editors across U.S. Tier 1 and Tier 2 business, technology, trade, and emerging media outlets (UK media contacts are a plus but not required).Proven track record of developing and executing integrated, tactical communications strategies and campaigns that drive measurable business and media impact.Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences and clearly articulate complex dependencies and solutions.Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple prioritiesProven senior stakeholder exposure and strong partnership capabilities with cross-functional teamsFamiliarity with AI-enabled communications is a plus.Preferred QualificationsExperience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.Experienced in analyzing data and trends to identify media relations opportunities.Experience supporting executive communications and thought leadership programs.Experience working within a global organization or agencyWhy StatistaAt Statista, we empower people worldwide to make fact-based decisions through trusted data and insights.
