Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the ED Observation Unit. This position will involve working night shifts with a focus on Telemetry and Med/Surg care, primarily serving patients within a dynamic healthcare setting.

Shift Details

• Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Every Other Weekend Requirement
• Standby Requirement: Yes

Unit Information

• Type: Telemetry
• Number of Beds: 8-16
• Patient Ratio: 4:1
• Common Diagnoses: Med/Surg Telemetry
• Number of Patients per Day: 8-16
• In-House Security: Yes

Qualifications

• Required Certifications:
  • BLS Certification
  • Washington State Nursing License
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Med/Surg Telemetry

Role Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for the following:

• Providing care for patients in the ED Observation Unit, including managing telemetry monitoring.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborating with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Floating to other units as necessary, including locations within the region.
• Facilitating patient examinations and managing patient records using an electronic medical record system (EMR).

Orientation and Training

• Unit-specific orientation will be provided for a duration of 1 day.

Additional Notes

The unit will accommodate patients boarding while awaiting room availability in the hospital.
