Radiologic Technologist, Full-time, Variable Shift

Overview Located in Kailua, Adventist Health Castle has been one of the area's leading healthcare providers since 1963. We are comprised of a 160‑bed hospital, eight medical offices, home‑care services, urgent cares and a vast scope of services located throughout O'ahu. Job Summary Operates x‑ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of body as ordered by physicians. Positions and instructs patients prior to examination, adjusts the x‑ray equipment and determines proper voltage as well as current and desired exposure time for each radiograph. Job Requirements Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology (Preferred) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists — Radiography (ARRT‑R): Required Radiologic Technician in the state of practice: Required (CA and HI) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required Essential Functions Performs screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation. Explains procedures to patients and answers questions. Prepares equipment and examination rooms for patient exams. Positions patients for imaging exams. Monitors patients and ensures safety during exams. Produces diagnostic images. Documents exam information. Reports important information to the physician. Verifies exams on PACS.
