The Opportunity

• We are seeking an experienced Global Strategic Procurement Manager to lead purchasing and supplier management activities supporting a multi-site manufacturing operation.
• This role will oversee a team of purchasing professionals while driving sourcing strategy, supplier performance, cost optimization, and operational support initiatives across the business.
• This is a highly collaborative position partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Development, and Finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing and procurement activities supporting manufacturing operations across multiple locations
• Manage and mentor a team of Buyers / Senior Buyers
• Develop supplier strategies focused on quality, delivery, cost, and long-term performance
• Lead supplier negotiations, contracts, RFQs/RFPs, and strategic sourcing initiatives
• Build strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers
• Drive cost savings, process improvements, and supply chain efficiency initiatives
• Support new product launches, supplier transitions, and operational growth initiatives
• Monitor supplier performance metrics and resolve escalated supply or quality concerns
• Partner cross-functionally to improve inventory management, planning, and purchasing processes
• Analyze market conditions, supplier risks, and sourcing opportunities to support business continuity

Background Profile

• Experience leading purchasing, sourcing, or procurement activities within a manufacturing environment
• Prior leadership experience managing buyers or purchasing teams
• Strong supplier negotiation and strategic sourcing background
• Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations preferred
• ERP / MRP system experience
• Strong communication, analytical, and project management skills
• Backgrounds within industrial manufacturing, engineered products, automotive, building products, electronics, or related industries highly preferred
• Exposure to international suppliers or global sourcing activities is a plus
