Executive Clinical Leader — Troy Campus (ACCO)

Associate Chief Clinical Officer – Troy Medical Campus Michigan Medicine / University of Michigan Health Location: Troy, Michigan Overview Michigan Medicine seeks a dynamic, distinguished executive to serve as the inaugural Associate Chief Clinical Officer (ACCO) for the new Troy Medical Campus (opening 2027). This role provides overarching clinical leadership across all Troy Medical Campus facilities, including the Frances and Kenneth Eisenberg Troy Center for Specialty Care, the Samuel and Jean Frankel Cardiovascular Center, and the Sidney and Madeline Forbes Advanced Imaging Center. The ACCO will champion the campus as a distinct, community‑integrated care model with limited learners, community‑based productivity standards, and rapid patient access as defining features. Responsibilities Provide physician oversight and direction to an initial seven medical directors in oncology, musculoskeletal, sports medicine, reproductive medicine, cardiovascular services, radiology, surgery, and anesthesia. Partner with Department Chairs, Division Chiefs, and Clinical Physician Leaders to support campus faculty and ensure clinical engagement. Work with the campus ACOO/ACNO to create and sustain a culture of responsiveness, accountability, and excellence. Advise the Chief Clinical Executive at University of Michigan Medical Group on clinical strategy and operational performance. Ideal Candidate Forward‑thinking physician executive with a strong commitment to clinical excellence and efficient care delivery. Experience in a fast‑paced, complex health care environment and demonstrated success leading by influence in a matrix organization. MD, DO, MD/PhD, or equivalent; board certification in a relevant adult specialty; active clinical practice aligned with campus specialties. Organization & Campus Development The new ambulatory care medical campus in Troy, MI will include advanced adult specialty care programs, integrated diagnostic and procedural services, and will occupy a 40‑acre mixed‑use development in a major Michigan county. The campus is part of the University of Michigan, Michigan Medicine, and the broader Michigan Health System. Region Troy is an upscale suburban hub in Oakland County, known for its safety, business community, schools, shopping, and proximity to Detroit. Access to Ann Arbor and regional transit routes is convenient.
