Overview
Senior Director, Investor Relations – responsible for leading and executing BMS’s global investor relations program, developing corporate messages, presentations, analyses, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Leadership & Strategy
- Assist in developing strategic plans to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
- Lead the creation of key messages, Q&A, and slides for earnings calls, investor conferences, medical meetings, and other investor events.
- Collaborate across functional teams to maximize efficiency, innovation, and cross-functional alignment.
- Assist in preparation and analysis of financial information, working with Financial Reporting & Analysis.
- Monitor and analyze trading activity, industry data, and peer performance to provide insights.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of BMS products, competitors, and financial markets.
- Conduct non-deal roadshows across North America, Europe, and additional regions.
- Implement policies and procedures that enhance productivity and operational effectiveness.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with investors, analysts, and key internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as spokesperson for day‑to‑day inquiries from investors and sell‑side analysts.
- Ensure investors and analysts receive accurate company depiction by responding to questions professionally.
- Collaborate with Corporate Communications, global & regional development, commercial, and medical teams to prepare senior management for conferences and events.
- Develop strategies for analyst discussions before and after earnings releases and significant events.
- Talent Development
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering continuous growth and professional advancement.
- Present to internal teams on the Investor Relations function for recruitment efforts and talent pipeline development.
Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field required.
- MBA, CPA, or equivalent preferred.
- 10–15 years in investor relations, finance, marketing, planning, development, or corporate communication at a public company, consulting agency, or financial institution.
- Ability to manage and lead cross‑functional teams.
- Executive presence; confident liaison with senior leaders.
- Strong communication, financial and investment analysis, and presentation skills.
- Superb writing skills combining scientific/technical and financial expertise.
- Understanding of financial modeling techniques used by security analysts.
- Knowledge of financial and investment markets, strategic communication, public relations, marketing, advertising, and media.
- Strategic thinking with a forward‑looking mindset.
- Travel required.
Compensation Overview
Cambridge Crossing: $260,770 – $315,994
Princeton, NJ: $237,070 – $287,267
