The Winter Park office of Allen Norton & Blue, P.A. is seeking to add a Labor & Employment Attorney with 5+ years of civil litigation experience to the team.

Allen Norton & Blue, P.A., established in Coral Gables in 1969 as a traditional labor law firm, has expanded its scope to all areas of labor & employment law.

Allen Norton & Blue, P.A. is devoted exclusively to the practice of Labor and Employment Law, representing management interests for state, national, and international clients in the public and private sectors for over 50 years. Many of the Firm’s attorneys are consistently recognized by Best Lawyers®, Super Lawyers®, and U.S. News, and they are Martindale Hubbell AV Preeminent® rated.

The Attorney's responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Analyze complex legal factual issues while conducting extensive and well-reasoned legal research.
• Independently develop and aggressively present defense strategies on behalf of clients from inception through trial.
• Prepare pleadings, written discovery, motions, and briefs in support of defense strategies.
• Provide effective and timely information, legal advice, and other services.
• Communicate with the court, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel with professional diplomacy and discretion.
• Participate in claims file reviews.
• Independently conduct trials, depositions, arbitration, and meditations
• Attend continuing legal education seminars in order to maintain a high level of professional expertise.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited law school and a license to practice in the state of Florida is required.
• Minimum of 5+ years of legal practice with state and federal court experience.
• Experience with Civil Litigation, Mandatory.
• Trial experience is preferred but not necessarily required.
• Labor and employment law experience or Litigation law experience.
• Legal research and motion practice expertise.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook); LMS+ experience.
• Self-directed aptitude with excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
