Adolescent Clinical Therapist

Responsibilities Involves patient care services for a range of mental health disorders, often severe including major depressive disorders, paranoia, schizophrenia, or bipolar disorder. Settings may be inpatient, outpatient, or clinical research studies. Patient care may be provided by a combination of licensed clinicians, counselors, and crisis intervention specialists. Patients typically require routine assistance, treatment, or a specialized and controlled environment. The primary emphasis is on treatment and attempts to help patients control their own lives in the outside world, utilizing psychiatric drugs and psychotherapy. Qualifications Master’s degree in related area or equivalent experience. Valid California LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC license. 3+ years related work experience. Strong skills in providing individual and group behavioral therapy, behavioral analysis, and/or educational interventions. Strong knowledge of applicable laws and ethical standards associated with the profession. Strong knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. Highly effective verbal and written communication. Demonstrated active listening, persuasion, and counseling skills. Strong skills in collaborating with healthcare providers, PIs, and community partners. Knowledge of business software, specialized applications, and EHR systems used in behavioral health clinics/clinical departments. Experience providing counseling with adolescents and their families.
