Dental Hygienist

Job Type: Full-Time | Part-Time Work Schedule: Tuesday - Friday | 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Work Location: Hornell, NY Key Responsibilities Perform routine dental cleanings (prophylaxis) and periodontal maintenance. Conduct comprehensive periodontal assessments and oral health screenings. Review and update patient medical and dental histories. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care. Assist the dentist with treatment planning and patient education. Monitor and identify signs of periodontal disease and other oral health concerns. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records. Follow infection control, sterilization, and OSHA safety protocols. Collaborate with the dental team to provide a positive, comfortable patient experience. Support a prevention-focused approach to long-term oral health. Qualifications Current Dental Hygienist license (state-specific) or eligibility for licensure. Current CPR/BLS certification. Strong clinical knowledge of preventive dentistry and periodontal care. Experience performing dental prophylaxis and periodontal maintenance. Excellent communication and patient education skills. Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
