Maintenance Technician

Position Overview: Technical Professionals Group, a leading provider of technical solutions in automotive testing and validation, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team in Fowlerville, MI. The ideal candidate will have previous management and supervisory experience, along with a strong background in maintaining and operating heavy machinery.

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance on various heavy machinery used in automotive testing and validation.

• Operate various heavy machinery safely and efficiently.

• Conduct facility maintenance, including coordination of repairs and upgrades as needed.

• Assist with lubrication, oil changes, and guided mechanic maintenance activities.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management team.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in managing and supervising maintenance operations (preferred, not required)

• Technical proficiency in maintaining and operating heavy machinery.

• Knowledge of facility maintenance practices and procedures.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or vocational training preferred.

• Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in automotive or industrial settings, is advantageous.

• Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations related to heavy machinery operations.

Physical, Safety and Environmental Job Requirements

• Standing, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, carrying and moving items of up to 50 lbs. and more
• Ability to perform essential job functions in an environment with varied noise levels
• The environment may be dusty, noisy and open to interior temperature changes
