Job Title: Dishwasher Reports To: General Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Summary A dishwasher cleans dishes and ensures they are clean and sanitary. Restocks clean dishes to be used again. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Washes dishes, utensils and cookware following established procedures. Cleans and maintains dish area equipment. Tests sanitizer solution every hour for effective levels and makes changes when sanitizer is not at proper levels. Follows food safety and health code regulations. Always wears gloves and hair restraints when handling food. Maintains hygiene. Performs all other duties as assigned. Competency Attendance/Punctuality – consistently at work and on time; ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent. Dependability – follows instructions, responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; keeps commitments. Safety and Security – observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
