F&I / Business Manager — Vallely Sport & Marine (Minot, ND location)

Vallely Sport & Marine is a Boating Industry Top 100 Marine Dealer (17 consecutive years) and Powersports Business Power 50 dealer, MRAA Five-Star Certified, family-owned since 1974. We represent marketshare leading brands across boats, off-road and motorcycles from a state-of-the-art facility, and we are hiring one F&I / Business Manager.

If you're in automotive F&I right now

You already have the skill. What you probably don't have: customers who are glad to be in your office. Nobody is forced to buy a boat. They come in to buy something they've wanted for years, and the F&I conversation is about protecting that purchase, not surviving it. Fewer hours than an auto store, a comp plan that doesn't get rewritten every quarter, and a sales team whose process benefits the finance office. If that sounds pleasant, there’s more below.

The role

• Structure and close financing across marine, off-road and motorcycle
• Offer approvals from 10+ banks and credit unions plus manufacturer captive programs
• Present protection menu: service contracts, pre-paid maintenance, GAP, tire and wheel, protective wraps and ceramic – important on outdoorsy and adventurous vehicles.
• Hold compliance to standard: Reg Z, TILA, ND disclosure requirements, OFAC and Red Flags
• Own department metrics: PVR, product penetration, reserve, time-to-fund, contracts-in-transit, and experience from customer introduction to signature
• DMS: Lightspeed; various other softwares including DealerTrack

Compensation

Base salary plus commission on F&I product income and reserve.

On-target earnings are $100,000–$120,000+ . Top performers exceed that; there is no cap.

Schedule

This is a full-time, in-person role.

• Monday–Friday 8am–7pm
• Saturdays twice a month, 8am–2pm.
• Averages 45 hours per week (October-February), up to 55 in peak season (March–September). We're stating this plainly so you can decide with the real numbers.

Requirements (must have at least one):

• Bachelors degree
• F&I experience: 2+ years 
• Sales/negotiation experience: 4+ years

Preferences

• Credit insurance license 
• Prior experience in related industries
