Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a high-acuity Medical/Surgical floor serving a diverse surgical and trauma population, including patients with gunshot wounds, quadriplegia, and paraplegia
• Manage a patient ratio of 5:1 with support from nursing techs, phlebotomists, and a unit secretary during night shifts
• Participate in structured nurse handoff process coordinated between the ED nurse and the admitting unit
• Document and manage patient care using EPIC EMR
• Adhere to assigned shift schedules; no block scheduling available and no requested time off (RTO)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Proficiency in EPIC EMR is required
• Must be willing to work assigned night shifts; no block schedules or RTO accommodated

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Experience working with high-acuity surgical and trauma patient populations
• Familiarity with care of patients with spinal cord injuries, including quadriplegia and paraplegia
