General Surgeon Opportunity At Cabinet Peaks Medical Center

Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate general surgeon to join our growing healthcare team. This position offers the opportunity to practice in a patient-focused, rural critical access hospital while enjoying a balanced lifestyle in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. The ideal candidate is a motivated and team-oriented surgeon who is committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based surgical care to a diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of general surgical procedures including endoscopy, laparoscopy, and basic trauma care.
• Collaborate with clinical staff, medical providers, and hospital leadership to ensure exceptional patient outcomes and safety.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and hospital policies, including documentation and coding.
• Educate patients and their families on pre- and post-operative care plans.
• Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited general surgery residency program.
• Board certified or board eligible in general surgery.
• Active or eligible for unrestricted Montana medical license.
• Current DEA registration.
• BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications preferred.
