Purchasing Specialist - Warwick, RI

  Monday - Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Westaff is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist for an immediate opening in Warwick, RI. This is a great opportunity for someone with purchasing or procurement experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and track a high volume of purchase orders, order confirmations, shipping updates, and delivery information.
• Maintain accurate records of estimated ship dates and tracking details.
• Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain order status, invoices, payment information, and delivery confirmations.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to open purchase orders.
• Answer inbound calls and serve as a key point of contact for vendors and suppliers.
• Partner closely with internal Sales and Customer Service teams to provide updates and resolve purchasing concerns.
• Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with vendors.
• Assist with additional projects and tasks as assigned by the Purchasing Manager.

Qualifications:

• 1 to 3 years of purchasing, procurement, or related experience.
• Healthcare industry purchasing experience is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Accurate data entry and organizational skills.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
