Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking experienced Registered Nurse for a seasonal travel PACU assignment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced recovery unit with a focus on patient care and team collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Provide postoperative care to patients recovering from surgical procedures in the PACU.
• Monitor patient vital signs, anesthesia levels, and overall condition, responding promptly to changes.
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and progress accurately in EMR systems.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Follow unit protocols, policies, and guidelines, including on-call response requirements.
• Maintain a calm demeanor and a positive attitude to support patient comfort and team efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with current state licensure.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of recent acute care hospital PACU RN experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Meditech EMR systems.
• Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Be flexible with hours and able to respond to on-call requests within 30 minutes.
• Have excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
