Warehouse Operations ManagerThe Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day warehouse and distribution center operations within a high-volume automotive parts environment. This role ensures efficient receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and personnel management while maintaining a safe, productive, and customer-focused operation. The Warehouse Operations Manager drives continuous improvement initiatives, achieves operational KPIs, and ensures accurate inventory control to support customer satisfaction and business growth.Today, Replacement Parts, Inc. and Crow Burlingame are made up of a corporate staff and several different companies, including Parts Warehouse Inc. (PWI). We employ approximately 1,400 employees, in twelve (12) states, working at approximately 220 locations, all operating in the aftermarket automotive parts, paint and heavy-duty parts business. In 2019, our company celebrated 100 years of serving our communities as a privately held business with most of our employees spending the majority of their working lives as part of the "Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts" family.Operations ManagementLead and manage all warehouse functions, including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and returns processing.Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer, retail, wholesale, and e-commerce orders.Develop and implement warehouse processes that improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.Monitor daily workflow and staffing levels to meet operational demands and service level expectations.Coordinate with transportation, purchasing, inventory control, and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations.Inventory ManagementMaintain accurate inventory records and achieve inventory accuracy goals.Oversee cycle counting programs and annual physical inventories.Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, damages, shortages, and stock adjustments.Ensure proper storage and handling of automotive parts, including hazardous materials when applicable.Optimize warehouse layout and slotting to maximize space utilization and picking efficiency.Leadership & Team DevelopmentRecruit, train, coach, and develop warehouse supervisors, leads, and associates.Conduct performance evaluations and implement employee development plans.Foster a positive, accountable, and safety-focused work environment.Manage workforce scheduling, attendance, labor utilization, and overtime.Safety & ComplianceEnforce OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and warehouse operating procedures.Conduct regular safety inspections and lead corrective action initiatives.Ensure equipment operators are properly trained and certified.Maintain compliance with environmental, transportation, and industry regulations.Performance ManagementEstablish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including: order accuracy, on-time shipping, inventory accuracy, productivity rates, labor cost management, safety metrics, and customer service levels.Analyze operational data and implement continuous improvement initiatives.Prepare and present performance reports to senior leadership.Technology & SystemsUtilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, RF scanners, and inventory management software.QualificationsRequiredDegree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.5+ years of warehouse management experience in a distribution or automotive parts environment.3+ years of leadership experience managing supervisors and hourly employees.Strong understanding of inventory control, warehouse operations, and logistics processes.Experience using WMS, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.Knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety practices.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.PreferredExperience in automotive aftermarket, OEM parts distribution, or related industries.Experience with automated material handling systems.Physical RequirementsAbility to walk and stand for extended periods in a warehouse environment.Ability to occasionally lift to 50 pounds.Comfortable working in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions.Ability to operate or oversee operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.Key CompetenciesLeadership and Team DevelopmentOperational ExcellenceInventory ManagementContinuous ImprovementStrategic PlanningCustomer FocusFinancial AcumenCommunication SkillsDecision MakingSafety LeadershipSuccess MetricsThe Warehouse Operations Manager will be evaluated on:Inventory accuracy above 99%Order fulfillment accuracy above 99.5%On-time shipment performanceLabor productivity and cost controlEmployee retention and engagementSafety performance and incident reductionCustomer satisfaction metricsContinuous improvement results and cost savings initiativesReplacement Parts, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer committed to hiring and retaining the most qualified individuals based on merit, qualifications, and business needs.
