Portfolio Solutions Specialist

We are looking for a Portfolio Solutions Specialist to join our Portfolio Solutions team. This role will support the operation, oversight, onboarding, and performance management of delegated authority portfolios, with a focus on index business and complex MGA relationships. This will be a hybrid role situated either in our office in O'Fallon, MO, Alpharetta, GA OR Chicago, IL. Your Team Join our dynamic Portfolio Solutions team in North America, where we manage and oversee delegated authority portfolios across multiple lines of business. The team partners closely with underwriting, claims, compliance, finance, actuarial, operations, and external MGA partners to support onboarding, governance, portfolio monitoring, reporting, and operational excellence. The Impact You Will Have: The Portfolio Solutions Specialist supports the onboarding, ongoing management, and portfolio monitoring of highly complex delegated authority facilities and MGA relationships across North America. This role requires strong project management and organizational capabilities, with responsibility for coordinating cross-functional activities across Underwriting, Compliance, Legal, Finance, Operations, Claims, Reinsurance, and external MGA partners. The Specialist will manage multiple workstreams, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure new facilities are successfully onboarded and existing portfolios are effectively governed and monitored. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of commercial insurance and underwriting fundamentals, delegated authority structures, and risk management, combined with the ability to drive complex initiatives forward through stakeholders who may not directly report to them. Some of your specific responsibilities could include: Complex Facility & MGA Onboarding Coordinate the end-to-end onboarding of complex delegated authority facilities and MGA relationships. Develop and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and outstanding actions. Coordinate activities across Underwriting, Compliance, Legal, Finance, Operations, Claims, Reinsurance, and other stakeholders. Proactively drive follow-ups and elevate risks, delays, or barriers that could impact successful implementation. Manage multiple facilities and competing priorities simultaneously while maintaining visibility into critical deadlines. Portfolio Monitoring & Governance Support ongoing monitoring and governance of assigned delegated authority portfolios. Monitor portfolio performance, premium development, claims activity, exposures, authority utilization, and other key indicators. Partner with Underwriting to understand portfolio performance, underwriting considerations, and potential areas of risk. Identify emerging issues, trends, or deviations requiring further review and elevate appropriately. Support periodic portfolio reviews and leadership reporting. Cross-Functional Project Management Serve as a central point of coordination for complex initiatives involving multiple internal and external stakeholders. Drive accountability for deliverables and timelines, including with stakeholders who do not directly report to Portfolio Solutions. Coordinate due diligence, compliance, governance, operational readiness, and other requirements throughout the lifecycle of a facility. Maintain clear documentation and reporting of project status, risks, decisions, and outstanding actions. Operational Coordination Partner with Operations and other teams to support premium and claims booking, bordereaux processing, and reporting requirements. Coordinate resolution of data or operational issues impacting portfolio monitoring or reporting. Ensure operational requirements and dependencies are understood and incorporated into overall facility management. What You'll Bring to the Role: 5+ years of commercial insurance experience, preferably involving delegated authority, programs, MGAs, underwriting operations, or portfolio management. Strong understanding of commercial underwriting fundamentals, risk assessment, and risk mitigation concepts ; direct underwriting experience is beneficial but not required. Demonstrated project management experience coordinating complex initiatives across multiple functions. Strong understanding of MGA/carrier relationships and delegated authority structures. Ability to independently manage multiple workstreams, deadlines, and competing priorities. Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to drive action, follow up, challenge appropriately, and elevate when necessary. Experience with portfolio monitoring, performance reporting, and identifying emerging risks or issues. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment where priorities and requirements continue to evolve. A basic understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential applications in business is essential. The annualized base pay range for this role is $78,909 - $ 119,255 for O'Fallon MO and $ 87,545 - $ 132,236 for Chicago, IL or Alpharetta, GA . The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
