Registered Nurse - ICU

Location: San Antonio, TX

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 7A-7:30P / 7P-7:30A

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The nurse will provide high-quality patient care, focusing on critical thinking and a strong understanding of ICU protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and assess critically ill patients, providing interventions and treatments as necessary.
• Utilize advanced medical equipment and procedures, including intubations and central line placements.
• Document patient care using Meditech and adhere to hospital guidelines.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Perform procedures like chest tube insertions, dressing changes, and Foley catheter placements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of ICU nursing experience.
• Active Texas RN License (TEMP LICENSE NOT ACCEPTED).
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• NIH Stroke Certification is preferred.
