MRI/Radiology Technologist The MRI/Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures ordered by the physician and for day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment. What you will do in this role: You will complete MRI/General Radiology examinations, ensuring a high level of quality. You will interview patients and review charts/orders to obtain a complete history and evaluate labs before contrast injection. You will evaluate the patient for contraindications. You will assist the radiologist as necessary. You will scan patients with appropriate equipment and correct order exam. You will be capable of taking plain film X-rays. You may be exposed to hazardous medications as defined by TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center Hazardous Drug Policy as either hazardous or antineoplastic. You will promote teamwork with the department and hospital. What qualifications you will need: Graduate of an Accredited Radiology Technologist program. Two-year post-graduate related experience. Current Registration with American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) and Advancement certification in MRI. If not MRI registered, will be required to obtain MRI certification within 12 months of hire or will be released from position. Current American Heart BLS upon hire.
