Project Manager

The City of Avon is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Project Manager. Reporting to the Safety Service Director and Mayor, this position is responsible for managing and coordinating the City's capital improvement projects including, but not limited to, the preparation and administration of the public bidding process, administering, coordinating, inspecting and overseeing outside contractor contracts and work, and preparing drawings and specifications for building department permits. The ideal candidate will assist the City Engineer with various technical and administrative functions, maintain planning department files, and answer inquiries from residents as well as any other interested individuals. Extensive management and supervisory experience, strong communicator, attention to accuracy, ability to be prepared and knowledgeable on all aspects of infrastructure management, along with transparency and integrity are a must. The successful nominee will need to pass all pre-employment background checks, including a drug test and a psychological evaluation. The salary range has been established to be paid an hourly rate of $45.00 to $55.00 per hour and shall be commensurate with preferred experience and knowledge.
