Housekeeper Department: Operations Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: GSF 2 - Charlestown, New Hampshire Description Job Title: Housekeeping Department: Facilities Current Available Shift Schedule(s): 1st: 6:00am-2:30pm Location: Charlestown, New Hampshire As the Housekeeper at GreenSource Fabrication, you are responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe, and professional work environment throughout the facility. This position performs routine cleaning and housekeeping duties in offices, restrooms, conference rooms, common areas, and other assigned spaces. The Housekeeper follows established cleaning schedules, procedures, and safety requirements while using appropriate cleaning products, tools, and equipment. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently while maintaining positive working relationships with all employees. Job Details Duties & Responsibilities: Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, conference rooms, and other designated areas on a routine schedule. Ensure restrooms, common areas, and other designated spaces are fully stocked with necessary supplies. Vacuum carpets and rugs and sweep and mop floors to maintain cleanliness throughout the facility. Clean and sanitize assigned surfaces and areas in accordance with established cleanliness and safety standards. Clean interior windows, glass doors, partitions, and other glass surfaces as assigned. Use ladders or step ladders as necessary to clean windows, fixtures, and other elevated surfaces. Clean and reset conference rooms after each use, including tables, chairs, surfaces, and other room furnishings. Empty trash and recycling receptacles and dispose of materials in designated areas. Identify and report maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, safety hazards, or supply needs to the appropriate supervisor. Safely use, store, and maintain cleaning products, tools, materials, and equipment in accordance with established procedures. Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, including requirements for the proper use of personal protective equipment. Utilize experience and judgment to plan and complete daily tasks efficiently within established schedules and priorities. Maintain a cooperative and professional working relationship with all employees. Perform other related housekeeping duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Knowledge of basic housekeeping and custodial cleaning methods, materials, tools, and equipment. Knowledge of safe handling and use of cleaning products, chemicals, and personal protective equipment (PPE). Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, established cleaning schedules, procedures, and safety requirements. Ability to work independently on routine assignments, manage assigned tasks efficiently, and maintain attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively and maintain cooperative, professional working relationships with employees and supervisors. Education & Experience Requirements: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred. Previous housekeeping, custodial, janitorial, or related experience preferred Working Conditions & Physical Requirements: This is a hands-on role in a manufacturing environment, with the majority of time spent throughout the facility performing routine cleaning, sanitation, and housekeeping activities in offices, restrooms, conference rooms, common areas, and other assigned spaces. Work requires standing and walking for extended periods, as well as frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, and pulling. The role requires the ability to safely use ladders or step ladders to clean windows and other elevated surfaces and to operate standard housekeeping tools and equipment. The role may require lifting and carrying up to 44 pounds (20 kg). The work environment may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, fumes, noise, wet or slippery surfaces, and manufacturing materials. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, and protective clothing, is required in designated areas or when performing specific tasks. Work may be performed in active production areas and around employees and equipment, requiring awareness of surroundings and adherence to established safety procedures.
