Job Title

Registered Nurse – Pediatric Float Pool (PICU/NICU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (4x12 Hours, 7:00–19:00) | 36 or 48 hours per week | Onsite | Every other weekend required | Must work 2 of 3 winter holidays | Block scheduling cannot be accommodated

Key Responsibilities

• Float across various pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Med/Surg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
• Deliver direct patient care appropriate to each unit's patient population within the RN scope of practice
• Adhere to facility float pool policies and float as needed based on unit staffing requirements
• Accurately document patient care activities using Epic electronic health records system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality care across all assigned pediatric units

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• NICU experience required; must be comfortable with neonatal and pediatric patient populations
• Active RN license in Virginia (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted as pending)
• Epic electronic health records experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous NICU/PICU float pool experience strongly preferred
• Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred
• BSN preferred
