National Account Representative (San Francisco Bay Area)

Starting Monthly Salary: $5,608–$7,010
Compensation is based on skills, experience, and qualifications.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated National Account Representative to grow the VELUX skylight category within The Home Depot and Lowe's across the San Francisco Bay Area and surrounding territory.

In this field-based role, you will build relationships with key store and sales teams, increase product knowledge through training, improve in-store execution, and identify new sales opportunities through our national retail partners.

You will work closely with Pro In-Store and Outside Sales teams, Millwork associates, store leadership, and VELUX's National Account and Sales teams to increase sales, strengthen product visibility, and grow the skylight category.

This is a field-based position covering the San Francisco Bay Area and surrounding territory. Occasional travel outside the core territory may be required to support business needs, training, events, or other sales activities. Overnight travel is expected to be minimal.

Key Responsibilities

Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and sales teams across Home Depot and Lowe's, with a focus on Pro In-Store, Outside Sales, and Millwork teams. Provide product training and presentations that strengthen product knowledge and support skylight sales.

Working with store and merchandising teams to maintain VELUX product displays, bay space, signage, inventory levels, and product placement. Address merchandising and inventory issues as needed to ensure strong in-store execution.

Partnering with Pro and Millwork teams to identify new business opportunities and promote VELUX products on roofing, remodeling, and other relevant customer projects. Support grand openings, contractor events, local trade shows, promotional activities, and other customer initiatives.

You will document sales activity and store conditions using established tools, including the Store Maintenance Report, Home Depot's Digital Bay Service Record, and Lowe's Rate-a-Bay. Share customer feedback, market insights, competitive information, and sales opportunities with National Account Management and VELUX Sales teams.

You will also support special projects led by the National Strategic Accounts team and provide coverage outside the core territory when business needs require .

Who we are looking for

An Associate degree is preferred, along with knowledge of the building industry and home center retail channel. Experience in a retail, sales, or building-products environment is an advantage.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Strong communication, presentation, customer-service, and relationship-building skills.
• Effective planning, organization, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established procedures and deadlines.
• The ability to influence and persuade others, take initiative, and work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, together with a professional approach to customer and business relationships.
