Travel Physical Therapist Assistant

Travel Physical Therapist Assistant for a 13-week assignment in a skilled nursing facility in Hollister, California. Responsible for implementing PT treatment plans, assisting patients with mobility and independence, and documenting progress. Earn up to $2,100 per week based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement physical therapy treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist
• Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional independence
• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfer training, and mobility interventions
• Monitor patient progress and accurately document treatment outcomes
• Educate patients and families on exercise programs, mobility techniques, and injury prevention
• Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and professional practice standards
• Support patients in achieving maximum functional mobility and independence
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current California Physical Therapist Assistant license
• Current Basic Life Support certification
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Patient care skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team

Preferred Skills:

• Previous Skilled Nursing Facility experience
