Certified Top Workplaces- 5 years running!Pay Rate: $16.90/Hour, Plus Tips opportunity!PurposeThe busser is responsible for efficiently clearing, cleaning and resetting tables, while assisting food servers in all aspects of guest table service, maximizing table turns and maintaining restaurant flow.Duties & ResponsibilitiesClear and reset tables efficiently before, during and after service periods to turn tablesMaintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers and proper table set upsMaintain cleanliness and stock of their assigned areas and side stationsWork as a team, assisting all guests' and team members' needs and inquiriesEnsure that all necessary stock is being replenished during the shiftRespond to guest concerns/complaints and correct errors or resolve complaints while maintaining a positive attitude escalating to management when necessaryClean and dry spills immediately upon occurrence; never leaving spills unattendedMove furniture as directed by management, including but not limited to: tables, chairs, bar stools, banquettes, bar tables, boxes, and equipmentEnsure that any breakage is reported and recordedMaintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipmentComplete opening/running/closing side work duties as assignedAssist teammates with opening/running/closing side work duties upon requestAssists and/ or completes additional tasks as assignedQualifications & SkillsHigh School Diploma preferredProof of eligibility to work in the United States18+ years of agePossession of or the ability to possess all state required work cardsMinimum of one (1) years related experienceProper lifting techniquesGuest relationsSanitation and safetyFull service restaurant operationsAbility to communicate effectively and assertively in the English language, both verbally and in writing with staff, clients, and the publicWorking ConditionsWork indoors and/or outdoors, exposed to hot and/or cold surfaces, steam, and wet floorsWork in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds and smoke, the severity of which depends upon guest volumeFast paced, high volume, full service restaurantWork varied shifts to include days, nights, weekends and holidaysPhysical RequirementsAbility to walk long periods of timeAbility to stand for long periods of timeAbility to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.Ability to repeat the same movements for long periods of timeAbility to understand the speech of another personAbility to speak clearly so listeners can understandAbility to push and lift up to 50 lbsAbility to reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlDisclaimerThis job description is a summary of duties, which you as a Busser are expected to perform in your normal course of work.
