Locum Tenens OB Hospitalist / Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician - La Plata, Maryland
Locum tenens Obstetrics & Gynecology physician opportunity in La Plata, Maryland, offering solo on-site OB Hospitalist coverage in a busy women's health and labor & delivery setting. This 13-week assignment provides a rewarding chance to support patient care in Southern Maryland, with convenient access to the Washington, D.C. metro area.

- Schedule: Part-time, 24-hour shift coverage
- Shift Duration: 24 hours
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $4,200-$4,500
- Start Date: October 8, 2026
- End Date: January 7, 2027
- Coverage Dates: Selected 24-hour shifts include October 21, October 30, and October 31
- Setting: On-site women's health, labor & delivery, and inpatient obstetric care
- MD or DO with active licensure eligibility
- At least 1 year of recent OB/GYN or OB hospitalist experience
- Experience with Epic preferred
- Active IMLC considered
- Ability to provide solo on-site coverage
- Comfortable working 24-hour shifts in a high-acuity obstetric setting
- Must be able to commute to the La Plata, Maryland area
- Provide comprehensive OB Hospitalist coverage during 24-hour shifts
- Manage an average of 1-2 deliveries per shift
- Perform GYN surgeries as needed
- Round on OB patients and support inpatient obstetric care
- Work independently while maintaining a strong standard of patient care
- Collaborate with the labor & delivery team to support safe, efficient workflow
- Deliver responsive care in a well-equipped environment with dedicated operating space
