Associate Assembler

Associate AssemblerHitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Associate Assembler who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. This position is based in Batesburg, SC.The Associate Assembler is responsible for preparing and assembling products and components within the production area, following specific instructions while conforming to the highest quality and standards.Accountabilities:Prepare and gather parts, tools, and equipment for the assembly processEnsure tools and equipment are in good working orderAssemble products and components, following blueprints, schematics, or work instructionsUtilize pallet jacks, hand tools, power tools, and potentially machinery to complete assembling tasksInspect assembled products for accuracy, completeness, and compliance, to include HSE safety critical requirements and great attention to detailMaintain a clean and organized workspaceCollaborate with other assemblers and team members to meet production goalsIdentify and report any issues or malfunctionsMaintain accurate documentation and logs and enter data into relevant systemsMaintain complete and accurate maintenance recordsAdhere to safety and quality guidelines and company policiesMust have the ability to:Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructionsUnderstand measurements and follow instructionsManipulate small parts and tools with precisionWork in an environment that requires physical and continual movementLearn new processes, procedures, and technologiesLift or lower items weighing < 24lbs (10.9kg) and Push or Pull efforts < 42lbs (19kg)Required skills & experience:0-3 years of Assembler or similar experienceExcellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skillsBasic knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsBenefits:Hitachi Rail employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including Competitive Pay, Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, Short & Long Term Disability, Life & Accident Insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, a Retirement Savings Plan, and Paid Vacation.
