Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Days | 13 Weeks | 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor & Delivery unit throughout all stages of labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum
• Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal status using electronic fetal monitoring systems
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective outcomes for mothers and newborns
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately within the electronic medical record system
• Respond to obstetric emergencies and support neonatal resuscitation as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Alabama (or compact eligibility)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• Cerner and Fetalink experience must be reflected on resume
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume Labor & Delivery setting
• Familiarity with floating to related women's health or mother-baby units
• Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills in obstetric situations
