Territory Manager

Own and nurture customer relationships in a team-based selling model Educate customers on ordering platforms Provide menu consultations, product recommendations and pricing strategies Sell to customers, increase case growth and acquire new business Deliver impactful sales presentations tailored to individual customers Manage time and territory effectively Collaborate with Specialists on top penetration opportunities and new account openings Work with marketing, supply chain and customer service to ensure seamless product delivery Identify prospective customers using market intelligence databases, business directories, existing-client leads, organizations, clubs, trade shows and conferences Manage deliveries according to the transportation department’s routing schedule Troubleshoot order-process problems, including delivery mis-picks, short loads and stock-outs Monitor market conditions, product innovations and competitors’ products, prices and sales Share market and product information with customers as value-added services Drive a personal motor vehicle for regular check-ins, site visits and follow-ups Work daily outside the office in the assigned territory and visit customers in variable weather and temperature conditions No direct reports Requirements 1+ year of sales experience preferred HS Diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license required Motor vehicle record must be in good standing Foodservice industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience preferred Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities Ability to build internal and external relationships Ability to cold call to develop new business Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills Competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals Problem solving ability, organization and negotiation skills Team up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders Tech-savviness; proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.
