Java Engineer

Overview Our client, a leading organization in the technology sector, is seeking a Java Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Java Engineer, you will be part of the Software Development Department supporting innovative projects and solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully within the organization. Job Title and Details Job Title: Java Engineer Location: Sunrise, Florida Pay Range: 55-60/hr W2 Type: Contract Duration: EOY 2026, option to extend or hire Schedule: Hybrid 3x a week on site, 2 WFH What7s the Job? Develop and maintain high-quality Java applications using core Java constructs such as Collections, Exceptions, Streams, and Lambdas. Implement asynchronous programming techniques including Multithreading, Executors, Futures, and CompletableFutures to optimize system performance. Work with Java frameworks on Reactive Stack like Spring Reactive, RxJava, Netty, Vert.X, or Akka to build scalable solutions. Design, develop, and consume microservices and APIs using REST, SOAP, and gRPC protocols. Utilize build tools such as Gradle or Maven, and perform unit testing with JUnit, Cucumber, or similar tools to ensure code quality. What7s Needed? Hands-on experience with Java programming, including core Java and asynchronous constructs. Proficiency in working with Java frameworks on Reactive Stack and microservices architecture. Experience with build tools like Gradle or Maven and version control systems such as Git. Knowledge of high-scale system design, performance tuning, and problem diagnosis. Familiarity with containers and orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus. What7s in it for me?
