Job Description
The Diesel Mechanic will diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy trucks, construction equipment, and fleet vehicles in a mixed shop and field environment. This role uses OEM diagnostic software and electronic service tools to support reliable equipment performance, safe operation, and accurate repair documentation.
Responsibilities
- Perform engine diagnostics and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on heavy trucks, construction equipment, and fleet vehicles.
- Repair and service brake systems, transmissions, and hydraulic components.
- Complete electrical troubleshooting and parts replacement as needed.
- Perform safety inspections and equipment testing.
- Use OEM diagnostic software and electronic service tools to identify and resolve issues.
- Document inspections, repairs, maintenance activities, and test results accurately.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in diesel mechanical repair.
- Certificate in diesel technology or automotive technology.
- Knowledge of diesel engine repair, engine diagnostics, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, preventive maintenance, and brake systems.
- Technical documentation and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong safety awareness and problem-solving abilities.
