Senior Accountant – General Ledger About the Opportunity Are you looking to make an impact while advancing your accounting career? This role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, supporting the month-end close process, managing payroll-related accounting, cash reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting. Location: Boca Raton, FL. (Hybrid) Salary Range: $75,000-$95,000 (Depending on Experience) Key Responsibilities Play a key role in the monthly and quarterly financial close process. Record treasury and cash management activities, including bank reconciliations. Identify and implement opportunities to improve accounting processes and automate routine tasks. Record and reconcile payroll transactions and related balance sheet accounts. Partner with HR and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate payroll expense coding. Research, analyze, and explain account variances as part of monthly financial reporting. Prepare accounting schedules and supporting documentation for quarterly and annual reporting requirements. Assist with internal and external audit requests. Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to support business operations. Ensure compliance with accounting policies, reporting requirements, and established deadlines. Support special projects and additional accounting responsibilities as assigned. Contribute to a collaborative team environment while continuously seeking operational efficiencies. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. 3–5 years of general ledger accounting experience in public accounting and/or corporate accounting. CPA designation or CPA candidate preferred; Master’s degree is a plus. Experience with ERP/accounting systems (experience with Sage Intacct, BlackLine, or similar platforms is preferred). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
