Loan Servicing Specialist

Job Full Description

A well-known bank in the Asheville area needs temporary administrative support in their loan serving department. This person will be responsible for accurate and timely loan payment processing and payoff processing. Provides imaging and statement rendering services. Assists with other various departmental duties.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:


High School Diploma or equivalent required. Two year degree in business or related field preferred.
Minimum two years data entry and customer service experience required. Previous experience in real estate or mortgage lending office preferred.


SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Lockbox processing. Loan payment processing for all commercial, mortgage and consumer loans.
• Trickle post processing. Loan payment reject processing for all mortgage and consumer loans.
• Wire transfer monetary processing. This includes loan payments and payoffs.
• Payoff processing. Includes monetary processing of funds as well as preparation and processing of related loan documents.
• Credit card payment processing. Includes payments for individual loan accounts and appraisal fees associated with new loan originations.
• Balancing. Responsible for balancing individual transactions processed throughout the day and participating in departmental balancing of check requests, credit card activity and official checks.
• Images loan documents to include, but not limited to: Certificates of Satisfaction, Commercial Appraisals, Modifications, Bankruptcy Documents, Foreclosure Documents and other various loan related documents.
• Loan statement rendering services to include, but not limited to: Commercial statements, Municipal lease statements, Delinquency statements for all three loan systems, Escrow Analysis, AMI Notices and exception statements.
• Participates in the department rotation of various morning and afternoon responsibilities.
• Adapts to changes in the work environment. Able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
• Makes recommendations to improve processes.
• Contributes to building positive team spirit.
• Performs other duties as requested.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Proficiency with personal computer, including all MS Office applications, and calculator.
• Ability to understand, and use Bank policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to prioritize duties and work independently while remaining flexible to changing assignments.
• Ability to meet designated deadlines and reprioritize as needed.
• Ability to communicate positively and effectively.
• Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.
