Technical Service Data Engineer

Our client, a leader in the autonomous vehicle industry, is seeking a Data Engineer to join their team. As a Data Engineer, you will be part of the Repair & Overhaul Department supporting engineering and shop floor operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $72/h + Benefits

What's the Job?

• Translate complex engineering specifications and 3D CAD data into precise repair procedures within the ERP system.
• Build and maintain detailed repair "Tasklists" in the ERP, mapping Part Numbers, Joint IDs, and critical assembly values.
• Use CATIA to navigate complex assemblies, identify components, and verify spatial requirements for repairs.
• Act as the Data Agent for Engineering Change Orders, analyzing design shifts and updating ERP data accordingly.
• Synthesize engineering jargon into clear, logical repair steps, ensuring accuracy and clarity for shop floor use.

What's Needed?

• Hands-on repair or overhaul experience in a workshop environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software, specifically CATIA V5/V6 or similar PLM tools.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, focusing on routing and tasklist modules.
• Strong attention to detail, especially regarding Torque Values and Joint IDs.
• Ability to analyze change orders and determine necessary updates across multiple system tasklists.
