Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients under the supervision of registered nurses or licensed practical nurses. Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting.
• Accurately measure and record patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate.
• Assist patients with mobility and ambulation, ensuring they are safe and comfortable. Use appropriate assistive devices when necessary.
• Ensure patients' physical and emotional comfort by maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked patient environment. Respond promptly to patient requests and address their concerns with empathy and professionalism.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and vital signs in electronic health records (EHR).
• Follow established infection control protocols and maintain aseptic techniques when providing patient care. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, including nurses, physicians, and other support staff, to provide comprehensive care to patients. Report any changes in a patient's condition to the nursing staff promptly.
• Provide patients and their families with information and support related to their care plan, as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years previous experience as a Certified Nurse Assistant in an acute care setting.
• Current state CNA certification and in good standing.
• American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to provide exceptional patient care.
• Ability to attend 2 full days of Orientation held every Monday for 12 hours.
• Ability to work at minimum 4 shifts within 90 days after completion of Orientation.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred.
