Special Procedure Radiographer

Special Procedure Radiographer UP Health System Marquette (MAST Union position) – 8 FTE, 32 hours per week (varied schedule). Sign‑on bonus of $7,500 for eligible external candidates. Responsibilities Review patient history and physician's orders; educate patients about procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation. Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes in status. Assist interventionalist in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures. Prepare equipment and supplies; select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters; implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoot, resolve, and report equipment malfunctions as necessary. Participate in evaluation and acquisition of new products and supplies; act as a superuser of advanced devices and imaging techniques. Train new and existing staff on new equipment and techniques; maintain an adequate inventory of supplies and equipment. Administer medications to patients under supervision of attending physician. Plan, implement, document, and evaluate all aspects of radiation safety and monitoring of radiographic procedural modifications. Develop and implement yearly education plan for department staff. Lead implementation of new procedures and techniques. Qualifications MA‑approved School of Radiologic Technology. ARRT Vascular Intervention certification. Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS‑HCP). American Registry of Radiologic Technology (Vascular Interventional Radiology Certification). Minimum 5 years of related clinical experience.
