Job Description
- We are seeking a Senior AWS Data Engineer with deep expertise in Pub/Sub architectures, Apache Kafka, and Snowflake to join our growing data engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building scalable, real-time data pipelines and cloud-native solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS services.
- Implement and optimize Kafka-based Pub/Sub systems for real-time data ingestion and processing.
- Integrate and manage data flows into Snowflake for analytics and reporting.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to ensure data quality and availability.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance and reliability.
- Ensure best practices in data security, governance, and compliance.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a strong focus on AWS cloud services (e.g., Lambda, S3, Glue, Kinesis, etc.).
- Proven experience with Apache Kafka and Pub/Sub messaging systems.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake including data modeling, performance tuning, and ELT processes.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow).
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and real-time data processing.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- WS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Familiarity with other messaging systems like AWS SNS/SQS or Google Pub/Sub.
