Employees also enjoy access to events like Chiefs and Royals games, dinner theaters, plays, and World of Fun, with some tickets provided to each employee.Your work schedule and shift information:8-hour shifts1st shift: 7 am to 3 pm2nd shift: 3 pm to 11 pm3rd shift: 11 pm to 7 amRotation is 4 weeks on 1st shift, then 4 weeks on 3rd shift, then 4 weeks on 2nd shiftMust be willing to work overtime, weekends, nights, and holidays as neededPlant operates 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.Key accountabilities:Assist miller by providing process system support, including learning and performing processing positions and equipment operationPerform sanitation, cleaning and maintaining all processing areasPerforming Wheat house start-up and shutdown on A/B & C millsPerforming preventative and reactive maintenance activities on milling equipment and assist maintenance as neededParticipate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performanceAssist in training new employeesAssist other plant areas as assignedMinimum qualifications:High school diploma or GEDAt least 2 years of mechanical and/or technical experience in manufacturing or related industryAbility to work rotating 8-hour shiftsMust possess the ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others in the workplace regarding work matters (our business is generally conducted in English)Ability to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periodsWillingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditionsAbility to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platformsAbility to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standardsAbility to wear protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net, gloves, and face masks (when required)Ability to work around high-speed machinery and food allergensPreferred qualifications:Manufacturing or production experienceMinimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferredEligibility:Applicants must meet a minimum 18-year age qualification.Equal opportunity employer (EOE)General Mills is an equal opportunity employer.
