Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg Tele

Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical Oncology

Schedule: 12-hour day/night rotating shifts (may include days, nights, or a combination). Schedule reviewed every 4-week period based on unit needs.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• Acute care experience must be current (working consistently in last 12 months) in the specialty applied for.
• EPIC experience required.
• Valid compact or state RN license in hand at the time of submission.
• Certifications: BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) required.
• Oncology experience preferred but not required.
• Previous travel experience preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with a variety of medical and surgical oncological diagnoses.
• Monitor patients' conditions and administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Manage patient symptoms, infections, and comorbidities effectively.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and charting in the EPIC system.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and fall risk management strategies.

Compliance / Notes:

• Orientation: 72 hours.
• Urgent fingerprinting process required after signing the contract.
• Pre-approved time off must be included with submission.
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director).
• Candidates unresponsive to credentialing risk push/cancel.
