REGISTERED NURSE (Brighton Health Center – Primary Care OB/GYN) Responsibilities Provide culturally sensitive, age-specific, team-based care for Primary Care OB/GYN patients. Perform phone triage including assessment, screening, clinical advice, and nurse visits (in-person/video). Provide in-clinic procedures. Maintain accurate and efficient documentation of nursing care. Utilize and apply internal and external resources appropriately. Supervise assistive personnel and collaborate with colleagues, other disciplines, and health care/community services to promote continuity of care. Apply critical thinking through the nursing process, problem‑solving skills, and prioritize care appropriately. Demonstrate customer service, interpersonal communication, and respectful relationships across units. Show accountability and dependability with a good attendance record and punctuality. Adapt to changing needs and priorities based on unit, department, and institutional goals. Provide patient and family education and coaching related to chronic conditions such as diabetes, asthma, and coronary artery disease. Type proficiency and effective use of electronic health record documentation. Manage complex clinical issues using assessment skills, protocols, and evidence‑based interventions. Adapt to different patient populations, including pediatric and adult medicine as patient demands evolve. Training will be provided for new subspecialties within primary care as the division expands. Required Qualifications Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Michigan. Three (3) years (within the last 7 years) of RN experience in OB/GYN medicine or labor and delivery. Experience performing non‑stress tests (NSTs) for at least two (2) years within the last seven (7) years. Desired Qualifications BSN. Certification in Ambulatory Nursing. Ambulatory phone triage experience. Experience in adult medicine. Experience in gynecologic specialties, particularly post‑operative follow‑up and care. Nursing Salary & Framework Level Salary & Nursing Framework Level: This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C. Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire. Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level F.
